Gold Prices in Pakistan Surge Rs12,200 Per Tola

Gold prices in Pakistan recorded another sharp increase on Friday, marking the second consecutive day of gains as international bullion rates continued to climb, according to the All Pakistan Gems and Jewellers Association. The price of 24-karat gold surged by Rs12,200 per tola, pushing the domestic rate to Rs440,936. Meanwhile, the price of 10 grams of gold rose by Rs10,459 to reach Rs378,031.

International Market Drives Upward Trend

In the international market, gold prices advanced by $122 per ounce, taking the global rate to $4,185 and supporting the upward trend in Pakistan's local bullion market. The latest rise follows Thursday's increase of Rs9,100 per tola, bringing the total gain over the past two trading sessions to Rs21,300 per tola.

Impact on Domestic Economy

The consecutive increases reflect a strong rally in precious metals globally, driven by economic uncertainties and safe-haven demand. Domestic consumers and investors are closely monitoring the trend as gold remains a key asset in Pakistan's commodity market. The All Pakistan Gems and Jewellers Association continues to track international cues, which are expected to influence local prices further in the coming days.
