The Pakistan Meteorological Department (PMD) has forecast mainly hot and dry weather across most districts of Sindh during the next 24 hours. Very hot conditions are expected to persist in the upper districts of the province.
Weather Update
According to the Met Office, rain and thunderstorms occurred at isolated places in the north and northwestern districts of Sindh during the past 24 hours. Meanwhile, hot and dry weather prevailed over other parts of the province.
Rainfall Recorded
The heaviest downpour was recorded in Moen jo Daro with 32mm of rainfall. Other significant rainfall totals include Rohri (20mm), Padidan (14mm), Nawabshah (6mm), Larkana (5mm), Sakrand (4mm), and Dadu (3mm).
Temperature Highlights
The highest maximum temperature was recorded in Dadu, where the mercury soared to 45 degrees Celsius. This was followed by Jacobabad, Nawabshah, and Mithi, each recording 44°C. Sukkur reached 43°C, Moen jo Daro 41°C, Hyderabad 40°C, and Karachi 37°C.
Residents are advised to stay hydrated and avoid unnecessary exposure to the sun during peak hours. The Met Office will continue to monitor the situation and provide updates as necessary.
