PERA Force Warns Bahawalpur Traders Over LPG Overpricing

The Punjab Energy and Resource Agency (PERA) Force in Bahawalpur has issued a stern warning to traders and shopkeepers, cautioning them of legal consequences if found guilty of overpricing Liquefied Petroleum Gas (LPG) within the district.

Directive from PERA Force

According to official sources, Mujtaba Manzoor, the Sub-Divisional Officer (SDO) of PERA Force and Special Magistrate of the Price Control Committee, emphasized that strict legal action would be taken against any trader selling essential commodities or LPG above the officially notified rates. He urged citizens to immediately lodge complaints with the PERA Force to enable swift action against profiteers.

Citizen Complaints and Office Access

Manzoor further stated that residents of Bahawalpur could visit his office directly to file complaints regarding overpricing or related issues. He assured that all complaints would be addressed promptly and appropriate measures would be taken. “Compliance with government directives is our top priority and overpricing of essential commodities and LPG is unacceptable,” he said.

Government Directives and Coordination

He reiterated that ensuring the implementation of the Punjab government’s directives is the department’s foremost priority. Under the instructions of the Punjab government, the PERA Force, in coordination with the district administration, is making every effort to ensure the availability of essential commodities at the official prices listed by the district administration.
