PCA Mehfil-e-Musallama Honors Karbala Martyrs in Rawalpindi

The Punjab Council of the Arts (PCA), Rawalpindi, hosted a Mehfil-e-Musallama in observance of the holy month of Muharram, drawing together prominent scholars, poets, and literary figures to honor the martyrs of Karbala. The event was presided over by renowned poet, writer, and intellectual Professor Jaleel Aali, with eminent scholar Dr Farhat Abbas attending as the chief guest. Noted poet Syed Mazhar Masood conducted the proceedings.

Presidential Address on Muharram's Values

In his presidential address, Professor Jaleel Aali emphasized that Muharram teaches enduring values such as patience, perseverance, truth, sacrifice, and righteousness. He stated that the tragedy of Karbala is not merely a historical event but an eternal message that inspires people across generations to uphold justice, dignity, and moral courage.

Chief Guest's Tribute to Imam Hussain

Speaking on the occasion, Dr Farhat Abbas paid tribute to Hazrat Imam Hussain (RA) and the martyrs of Karbala, describing their sacrifice as a timeless symbol of justice, freedom, faith, and steadfast commitment to truth. He noted that the teachings of Imam Hussain (RA) continue to inspire humanity and promote peace, tolerance, compassion, and unity.
