Madinah's Khair Al-Khalq Museum Inaugurated by Prince Salman
Prince Salman bin Sultan, the governor of Madinah and chairman of the Madinah Development Authority, has officially opened the Khair Al-Khalq Museum, located at the As Safiyyah Museum and Park building south of the Prophet's Mosque. This new cultural institution is designed as a pioneering educational destination that seamlessly blends knowledge with cutting-edge technology, according to a report from the Saudi Press Agency on Monday.
Interactive Exhibits and Technological Innovations
During a comprehensive tour of the museum, Prince Salman personally viewed a range of exhibits and advanced technologies that vividly bring to life various aspects of the life of Prophet Muhammad. The museum features several audiovisual presentations that enhance the visitor experience, allowing for an immersive exploration of historical narratives. Attendees at the opening ceremony were treated to a detailed presentation about the museum's mission and offerings, followed by a speech from Fawaz Almehrij, CEO of Samaya Investment Co.
Almehrij emphasized that the museum provides a modern educational experience, enabling visitors to delve into history through a contemporary perspective while learning about the core values of prophethood. He expressed gratitude to Prince Salman for his unwavering support of cultural initiatives and his dedicated efforts to develop Madinah, thereby improving the quality of life for the local community. Additionally, Almehrij thanked Madinah Mayor and CEO of the Madinah Development Authority, Fahad Albulihshi, for his oversight of the project, ensuring it stands as a significant cultural landmark that enriches the experience of visitors to the Prophet's Mosque.
Connecting to Broader Cultural Projects
This inauguration follows another notable cultural project launched earlier this year by Prince Salman, known as "Ala Khutah" or "In His Footsteps." This initiative allows visitors to trace the prophet's historic migration route from Makkah to Madinah, highlighting the event's historical importance, promoting awareness of the prophet's biography, and supporting sustainable cultural and economic development along the path.
Prince Salman underscored that such projects reflect the Kingdom's leadership in serving the holy sites and enhancing the overall experience for visitors and pilgrims.
