The 10th edition of the Adab Festival Pakistan drew to a successful close on Sunday at Karachi's Habitt City, marking the end of a vibrant two-day celebration of literature, ideas, and community. The second day maintained the event's energetic pace, offering a rich tapestry of activities for visitors of all ages.
A Hub of Activity and Learning
Throughout the closing day, attendees continued to explore the bustling Book & Craft Fair and sponsor stalls. The Children’s Literature Strand remained a central attraction, featuring a talent show, captivating storytelling by Yasmin Motasim, and engaging puppet theatre by Mehreen Kamran. Young minds were further nurtured in bookmaking sessions with Ameena Saiyid and theatre activities led by Atif Badar.
Meanwhile, a dedicated Creative Writing Workshop titled ‘The Story makers Studio,’ conducted by Taha Kehar, continued to attract teenagers, fostering the next generation of writers.
Provocative Discussions on Technology and Society
The day was intellectually charged with a series of thought-provoking sessions covering a wide range of subjects from identity and cultural heritage to women's leadership and education.
A key highlight was the first discussion of the day, ‘Designing Tomorrow with Artificial Intelligence.’ This panel featured Jehan Ara alongside Dr. Salman Khatani and Sadaf Bhatti, and was moderated by Ahsan Siddiqui. Their conversation delved deep into the intersection of creativity and technology, addressing how AI is reshaping industries, learning environments, and future opportunities for Pakistan’s youth.

The two-day cultural extravaganza concluded on a high note with a spirited music concert by Saif Samejo, which brought together visitors, artists, and participants in a unifying and celebratory finale.
