According to the notification, the summer camps will be conducted from June 1 to June 30, 2023. The camps will operate Monday through Thursday, from 7:00 AM to 10:00 AM. Notably, no activities will be held on Fridays. The department has clarified that students from all grade levels are eligible to participate in these camps, but attendance is entirely voluntary. Schools are required to obtain written parental consent before enrolling any student in the camp activities.
Prohibition on Additional Fees
Officials have explicitly stated that private schools are strictly prohibited from charging any additional fees under the pretext of organizing summer camps. This measure aims to prevent any financial burden on parents during the vacation period. The notification warns that strict legal action will be taken against institutions found violating these guidelines.
Activity Guidelines and Facilities
The department has directed school administrations to conduct all camp activities within classrooms and other indoor spaces, taking into account the prevailing weather conditions. Schools are also instructed to ensure the availability of essential facilities, including:
- Cold drinking water
- Proper sanitation facilities

- Power backup arrangements
In a significant relief for students, the department announced that wearing school uniforms during the camps will not be mandatory. Participants will be allowed to wear weather-appropriate clothing to ensure comfort during the summer heat.
