Actress Arden Cho, known for her roles in Teen Wolf, Partner Track, and KPop Demon Hunters, has married orthopaedic surgeon Christopher Lee during a multi-day wedding celebration in Florence, Italy. The couple exchanged vows over the weekend of June 27 at Villa Cora, marking their first public appearance together as newlyweds.
Multi-Day Celebration with Korean Traditions
The festivities included a traditional Korean hanbok welcome party, two wedding ceremonies, and a reception attended by family and friends. For the wedding ceremony, Cho wore a custom Vera Wang dress. Speaking to Vogue, Cho reflected on the destination wedding and the significance of choosing Florence. "We fell in love with Florence and wanted the weekend to feel like a beautiful vacation where everyone could slow down, celebrate, and make memories together," she said. "Italy is special to us, not only because of the food and culture, but because this is where I decided he was my person. It became less about the event itself and more about bringing all of our favorite people together in one magical place."
Fairy Tale Wedding Despite Challenges
Cho added, "I never imagined a wedding could truly feel like a fairy tale, but somehow it did. It was everything I had hoped for and more." However, the celebrations were not without challenges. Lost luggage, delayed and cancelled flights affecting family members, and a record-breaking heatwave forced changes to the schedule, including postponing the couple's traditional Korean pyebaek ceremony. "Looking back, this is what made the weekend so special — life isn't perfect, but the people in our lives came together to make it feel like it was," Cho said. "In Korean, there's a saying, '액땜했다,' which roughly means that a small hardship spares you from a much bigger one. That's exactly how we choose to remember our wedding weekend."
A Perfect Beginning
Lee said, "In many ways, it felt like the perfect beginning to our marriage. We learned that even when things don't go according to plan, we can face them together — with the love and support of the people around us — and still end up with something even more beautiful than we imagined." The couple met through a dating app despite both living in Los Angeles for nearly two decades. They became engaged in Maui on March 31, 2025, before Cho announced the news publicly the following month.
