Social media influencer Emilie Kiser has announced she is expecting another child, just over a year after the tragic drowning death of her 3-year-old son, Trigg. Kiser shared the news on Instagram on Friday, describing the pregnancy as a source of hope following one of the most difficult periods in her family's life.
Pregnancy Announcement and Privacy Plans
Kiser, who boasts more than five million followers on TikTok and over two million on Instagram, said she plans to keep much of the pregnancy private. "It feels very surreal and has already been such a bright light to us during some of our darkest days," she wrote. She added, "As I stated last year, my family's privacy will always be my priority. Because of that, I'm not sure how much I will be sharing about this pregnancy and next phase of life, but I appreciate your understanding as I navigate those boundaries."
"This baby has already brought so much hope and joy into our home, and we are treasuring every moment of it together," she continued. Kiser and her husband, Brady, are also parents to their youngest son, Teddy.
Details of Trigg's Death
Trigg died in May 2025 after falling into the family's swimming pool at their Arizona home. According to the Chandler Police Department, Brady Kiser was watching an NBA Playoffs game when the 3-year-old entered the water and remained unattended for more than nine minutes. The child was found unconscious and died six days later in hospital.
Police recommended that Brady Kiser face a Class 4 child abuse felony charge in connection with the incident. However, the Maricopa County Attorney's Office later declined to prosecute, stating there was "no likelihood of conviction."
Public Reflections on Grief and Marriage
In June, Emilie Kiser spoke publicly about the tragedy during an appearance on the Jay Shetty Podcast. She revealed that she had experienced anger towards her husband but ultimately chose to remain with him. "Losing a child really shows you, in the scariest, most real way possible, just how quickly life can change and how quickly life can literally be taken away," she said. "But, I think the biggest thing that really kind of altered literally my brain chemistry and the way I thought about it was this could have just as easily happened to me."
She continued, "We've really done our best to grieve together and to talk through every emotion and every feeling." Kiser added, "I really give Brady so much … empathy and respect. I have so much respect for him honestly and I think that would maybe shock people."
The couple has focused on grieving together and supporting each other through the loss. Emilie Kiser's announcement of a new pregnancy marks a step forward as they navigate their healing journey.
