Academy Award winner Jennifer Lawrence is set to star in and produce a new romantic comedy titled One Month Mark for Apple Original Films, marking another collaboration between the actress and the streaming studio.
Plot Details
The upcoming film is based on an original screenplay by writer, director and performer Sophie Fleur de Bruijn. According to the official logline, the story follows two people with opposite relationship histories: a woman who has never stayed in a relationship longer than one month and a man who has never gone more than a month without being in one.
Production Team
Apple Studios will produce the project alongside Chernin Entertainment. Producers include David Ready, Brady Fujikawa and Peter Chernin. Lawrence will also serve as a producer through her production company, Excellent Cadaver, alongside producing partner Justine Ciarrocchi. De Bruijn is attached as an executive producer.
Lawrence's Growing Partnership with Apple
One Month Mark continues Lawrence’s growing partnership with Apple Original Films. The actress recently wrapped production on What Happens at Night, directed by Martin Scorsese and co-starring Leonardo DiCaprio. She also starred in and produced Causeway, while serving as a producer on the acclaimed documentary Bread & Roses.
De Bruijn's Career Milestone
The project marks another major step for de Bruijn as well. Her first feature film, Early Action, was acquired by Apple Original Films and remains in development. That project is being produced by Kevin Walsh and The Walsh Company under a first-look agreement with Apple.
Release and Casting
No release date, director or additional casting details have been announced for One Month Mark. However, the pairing of Lawrence and Apple is expected to draw significant attention as the romantic comedy moves through development.
