Asked whether he had ever imagined himself in contention for the role, Partridge replied, “No, no. Not yet at least. But that’s something to keep in mind. I wonder what Variety thinks?” Variety's London Bureau Chief Alex Ritman previously reported in April that Partridge is one of several actors believed to be under consideration as Amazon MGM Studios searches for a younger British actor to succeed Daniel Craig as James Bond. The 23-year-old actor first gained international recognition alongside Millie Bobby Brown in Netflix's Enola Holmes, which premiered in 2020. Speaking at the premiere of the third instalment, he reflected on adjusting to fame over the past six years. “The social media stuff can get a bit noisy sometimes, but it’s important to have good people around you — and to figure out for yourself what’s important outside of looking at your phone, to be honest, which is surprisingly hard to do these days. I’m not gonna lie,” he said. “It sounds silly to say, but that’s quite tricky to do today.”
