According to Deadline, Keyser addressed the backlash in a TikTok video, apologizing for an old clip in which she was seen singing along to Roddy Ricch's 2019 hit The Box and repeating lyrics containing a racial slur.
"I do not support racism or discrimination of any kind, and I never have," Keyser said in the video. She added that the clip was recorded six years ago and stated that the language used in it is "not in my vocabulary anymore." Keyser also apologized to anyone who was offended by the video.
Allegations of Fabricated Screenshots
The reality star further addressed screenshots that had circulated online, claiming they were fabricated and did not reflect her beliefs or behavior. She said the allegations had been heartbreaking and described the controversy as a learning experience. In a written message accompanying the video, Keyser added that she has always aimed to spread positivity and intends to continue doing so.

The apology comes days after Keyser's brief appearance on Love Island USA Season 8. Shortly after entering Casa Amor, a video of her using the racial slur while lip-syncing to the song resurfaced online, prompting widespread criticism. Additional alleged screenshots were also shared across social media.
Deadline reported that Peacock was unaware of the resurfaced content during the casting process because the material had not been publicly available during contestant vetting. Following the controversy, Keyser's screen time was significantly reduced before she ultimately exited the series.
