Macaulay Culkin has marked nine years with fiancée Brenda Song, sharing a heartfelt tribute to the actress and reflecting on the relationship that began in 2017. The former child star posted a photograph of the couple on Instagram on June 17, accompanied by a message celebrating the anniversary of their relationship.
"Today marks a very special day for me. It's been 9 years since my life changed forever," Culkin wrote. "It's amazing to think that 1 in every 5 days I've been alive I have had the honor of waking up next to the love of my life. My only regret is that we haven't had more time together."
Culkin, 45, and Song, 38, first met while working on the film Changeland, written and directed by Seth Green. The pair began dating in 2017 and have since built a family together, welcoming two sons, Dakota and Carson. The couple became engaged in 2022, several months after the birth of their first child.
The anniversary post attracted support from friends and colleagues, including Culkin's Fallout co-star Walton Goggins, who commented, "Good man… wise man. A big milestone y'all."
Both actors have enjoyed renewed career success in recent years. Song appeared in films including The Last Showgirl and stars alongside Kate Hudson in Netflix comedy series Running Point. Culkin has continued acting work with appearances in the second season of Fallout and a voice role in Zootopia 2.
Earlier this year, Song revealed on Kylie Kelce's Not Gonna Lie podcast that Culkin had "kind of re-proposed to me" in August 2025. Reflecting on their first meeting, Song recently admitted she never expected a romance to develop. "He was like my BFF," she said. "And a couple weeks in, I was like, 'Oh, I think I have a crush on him.'"
What began as a friendship on a film set has now grown into a nine-year relationship, two children and an engagement, making the couple one of Hollywood's longest-lasting former child-star romances.
