Actor Merub Ali took to Instagram to share a health update with fans, revealing that she recently underwent surgery for trigger finger and is now recovering. Merub posted a reel documenting her journey from discovering her diagnosis to undergoing surgery.
Opening on a humorous note, the video began with the dialogue: "You must be wondering how I got into this situation," alongside a clip of the actor lying in a hospital bed. The caption read, "I'm in Spain without the s."
Diagnosis and Treatment
In the video, Merub explained that her finger had become stuck in one position, prompting multiple visits to rheumatologists and neurologists who were initially unable to identify the cause of her condition. However, after consulting an orthopedic doctor, the actor revealed she had been diagnosed with trigger finger, a condition in which inflammation affects the tendons, restricting movement in the finger.
Merub shared that the doctor recommended surgery to restore normal movement, revealing that she had initially opted for physiotherapy but the treatment worsened her condition, ultimately leading her to choose surgery instead.
Support from Fans and Colleagues
Fans and fellow celebrities flooded Merub's comments with wishes for a speedy recovery. The actor later took to her story to thank fans and friends for their prayers as she recovers from the procedure.
Merub concluded her drama Faraar last year and has continued to model for local brands in Pakistan, making her place across mainstream entertainment and the fashion space.
