RAWALPINDI: A large-scale crackdown against quackery is underway across Murree, with health authorities sealing multiple illegal clinics and quack medical centers in a targeted operation. According to an official, the operation was conducted under the supervision of Murree Deputy District Health Officer Dr. Maryam Ali Abbasi in various areas.

Operation Details

Health department teams carried out inspections in areas including Ghora Gali, Mullah Bazaar, Kunda Bazaar, Manga, and Jhika Gali. During these inspections, several unlicensed establishments were found providing medical services without proper authorization.

Legal Actions Taken

The illegal clinics were immediately sealed, while challans against the responsible individuals have been forwarded to the Punjab Healthcare Commission for further legal action. The official stated that surveillance against quackery has been intensified across the district to ensure the provision of quality healthcare services to the public.
