Preliminary forensic findings have found no evidence of torture or sexual assault on the body of a 10-year-old girl who was found dead inside the restroom of a tuition centre in Lahore's Ichhra area, while investigators continue to probe the circumstances surrounding her death.

The sixth-grade student, identified as Naeema, was found dead under mysterious circumstances at a tuition centre in Ittehad Town on Thursday. According to preliminary forensic reports, no marks of torture or sexual assault were detected. However, the complete post-mortem report, which is expected within the next one to two days, will determine the exact cause of death.

Hospital sources initially suspected the child may have been strangled, but police said no conclusion has been reached and all possibilities remain under investigation. Investigators are examining a rope recovered from the restroom where the body was found and have not ruled out the possibility of suicide. Following the post-mortem examination, the girl's body was handed over to her family for burial.
