Sindh Leaders Reaffirm Commitment to End Child Labour

Sindh Governor Muhammad Nehal Hashmi and Chief Minister Syed Murad Ali Shah have reiterated their strong dedication to eradicating child labour and safeguarding every child's entitlement to education, safety, and a promising future.

Messages on World Day Against Child Labour

In separate statements issued on the World Day Against Child Labour, both leaders emphasized that children should be in schools, playgrounds, and homes, not in workplaces. They called for collective action to ensure that every child experiences a safe and dignified childhood.

Government Initiatives

The Sindh Chief Minister stated that the provincial government is enhancing access to quality education, enforcing child protection laws, expanding social welfare programs, and creating opportunities to tackle the underlying causes of child labour, such as poverty and inequality. He stressed that by working together—government, private sector, civil society, and citizens—a future can be built where every child learns, grows, and thrives.
