Jamaat-e-Islami (JI) Emir Hafiz Naeemur Rehman has declared that Pakistan belongs to its people and should not remain under the control of a few influential families. Speaking at the 'Bano Qabil' graduation ceremony organized by the Al-Khidmat Foundation in Islamabad, he emphasized the party's commitment to reforming the existing system and strengthening grassroots empowerment.
Youth as the Future of Pakistan
Hafiz Naeem congratulated the graduates and praised the country's youth, stating that Pakistan has immense human potential and there is no reason it cannot move forward. He highlighted that millions of young people are benefiting from educational and skill-development opportunities, adding that the country's future depends on investing in its youth. He claimed that more than 1.6 million young people have registered under the 'Bano Qabil' programme, with millions already completing their training.
Criticism of Education Inequality
The JI chief stressed that the Constitution guarantees every child the right to free and quality education. However, he noted that millions of children across Pakistan, including Punjab, remain out of school while the public education system continues to be neglected. He criticized the existence of separate education systems for the wealthy and the poor, calling such inequality unacceptable. 'Pakistan's national interests must never be compromised,' he said, adding that the country's youth have the ability to lead it towards development and prosperity.
Plans for a University and Economic Critique
Hafiz Naeem announced that Jamaat-e-Islami plans to establish a university in the future. He also criticized the government's economic policies, saying inflation and heavy taxation are placing an unfair burden on the poor and middle class, while billions of rupees are being directed toward selected sectors. He asserted that if Jamaat-e-Islami comes to power, it will ensure free and equal-quality education for every child across the country.
Call to Action for Youth
Concluding his address, Hafiz Naeem encouraged young people to remain hopeful, take pride in their country, and actively contribute to Pakistan's development and progress. 'Pakistan has immense human potential, and there is no reason it cannot move forward,' he reiterated.
