ISLAMABAD: Interior Minister Mohsin Naqvi on Tuesday called for stronger coordination between the state and religious scholars, urging them to play a unifying role in countering terrorism, social disorder, and fitna, while supporting a single national message of peace and stability.

Speaking at the Special Paigham-e-Aman Committee meeting in Islamabad alongside Minister of State for Interior Talal Chaudhry, Naqvi emphasized the need for scholars to support the state's narrative against terrorism by issuing clear religious guidance based on Islamic teachings.
Role of Religious Scholars
The minister stressed that religious scholars have a crucial role in promoting peace and countering extremist ideologies. He urged them to use their influence to guide the public away from violence and toward harmony.
Naqvi also highlighted the importance of a unified message from all segments of society to effectively combat terrorism and social disorder. He called for joint efforts to ensure stability and security in the country.
The meeting was part of the Paigham-e-Awan initiative, which aims to foster dialogue between the government and religious leaders to address challenges facing the nation.
