ISLAMABAD – Federal Minister for Parliamentary Affairs Dr. Tariq Fazal Chaudhry held a meeting with Turkmenistan’s Ambassador to Pakistan, Atadjan Movlamov, on Wednesday. The two sides discussed matters of mutual interest and explored ways to further strengthen bilateral relations.
Focus on Regional Stability and Cooperation
During the meeting, both dignitaries exchanged views on regional stability and identified opportunities to enhance cooperation between Pakistan and Turkmenistan across various sectors. Dr. Tariq Fazal reaffirmed Pakistan’s commitment to expanding collaboration in parliamentary exchanges, trade, energy, and regional connectivity initiatives.
Ambassador Appreciates Pakistan’s Role
The Turkmen ambassador appreciated Pakistan’s role in promoting peace and stability in the region. He expressed Turkmenistan’s interest in expanding economic and cultural ties with Pakistan, highlighting the potential for mutual benefit.
Agreement on High-Level Contacts
Both sides agreed to enhance high-level contacts and strengthen parliamentary diplomacy. The goal is to build a long-term partnership aimed at promoting shared prosperity and regional cooperation. The meeting underscored the importance of sustained dialogue and collaboration between the two nations.
In a separate development, the Punjab Food Authority (PFA) sealed a substandard snacks factory and imposed a heavy fine for violating quality standards.
