US Embassy Lights Pakistan Landmarks for 250th Independence Day

The US Embassy in Islamabad and the US Consulate General in Lahore commemorated the 250th anniversary of American independence by illuminating some of Pakistan's most iconic landmarks, underscoring the longstanding ties between the two countries.

Celebrations and Coordination

The US Mission to Pakistan expressed its appreciation to the Government of Pakistan for supporting the celebrations marking America's 250th Independence Day. As part of the commemorative events, the Pakistan Monument in Islamabad was illuminated in the colours of the American flag from July 1 to July 5. The display was organised in coordination with Pakistan's Ministry of Foreign Affairs and the Capital Development Authority as a symbol of friendship between the two nations.

According to a statement from the US Embassy, the illumination of these landmarks represents the enduring partnership and shared values between the United States and Pakistan. The event highlighted the cultural and diplomatic bonds that have developed over decades of cooperation.
