FIA Arrests Two in Visa Fraud Trafficking Case

The Federal Investigation Agency (FIA) has arrested two individuals involved in a visa fraud and human trafficking racket, officials confirmed on Sunday. The suspects were apprehended during a raid on their hideout in the outskirts of the city, where the FIA also recovered a large cache of fake documents, passports, and travel stamps.

Details of the Operation

The FIA's Anti-Human Trafficking Cell conducted the operation based on a tip-off. The suspects, identified as Ahmed Khan and Bilal Shah, were allegedly running a network that lured young Pakistanis with promises of overseas jobs and study visas. They would charge hefty fees and provide forged documents, leaving victims stranded or deported.

Seized Materials

During the raid, the FIA seized dozens of fake visas, counterfeit passports, and stamps from various countries. Additionally, they recovered computers and printers used for document forgery. The suspects are believed to have defrauded hundreds of victims over the past two years.

Legal Proceedings

The FIA has registered a case under the Prevention of Human Trafficking Act and the Passport Act. The suspects will be produced before a court for remand. Officials stated that further investigations are ongoing to identify other accomplices and victims.

This arrest marks a significant step in cracking down on illegal immigration networks operating in Pakistan. The FIA urges citizens to report any suspicious visa agents to prevent such crimes.
