A ceasefire can stop fighting for a short time, but it cannot bring true peace. It may be possible to rebuild buildings destroyed by war, but it is much harder to rebuild peace in people's hearts. Real peace means a life where people live without fear, children can play freely, and families can live without tension. The biggest example is Gaza. Even when there is a ceasefire, there is still long-term hostility. Children are not free to enjoy their lives, and elders live in constant fear. There is also starvation, which affects humanity deeply. This shows that a ceasefire does not truly bring peace.
Water for Everyone
We should also not forget recent tensions between Afghanistan and Pakistan. Even during periods of ceasefire, violence has continued, and people have been killed. This raises an important question: is a ceasefire really peace? In reality, a ceasefire only stops visible fighting, but inside, anger and conflict often grow stronger.
A Ceasefire Is Like a Pause
A ceasefire is like a pause, not a solution. It may give the impression that conflict has ended, but the root causes remain. After some time, violence can start again, sometimes even worse than before. Therefore, a ceasefire alone is not enough. The real solution is long-term dialogue and negotiation. Countries must not only stop fighting but also address the real issues between them. Only through honest communication and lasting agreements can true peace be achieved.
