Interpol Red Notice for Ukrainian Woman in Monaco Bomb Attack
Interpol Red Notice for Ukrainian Woman in Monaco Bombing

Interpol has issued a Red Notice for a Ukrainian woman suspected of planting a bomb in Monaco that injured three people, including a Ukrainian-born tycoon. The suspect, identified as Anastasiia Berezovska, 39, is wanted for attempted murder, placing an explosive device on a public road with criminal intent, and criminal conspiracy, according to the notice.

Details of the Attack

On Monday evening, an individual left a package in the entrance hall of a small apartment building near the French border. Shortly after, an explosive device detonated as three residents—a couple and a 13-year-old—were entering. The suspect was captured on CCTV wearing a black fisherman's hat and was initially believed to be a man.

According to consistent sources, the attack targeted Vadym Yermolaiev, 58, a wealthy businessman originally from Ukraine and now a Cypriot national, along with his partner and son. The couple were seriously wounded.

Suspect Description

Interpol released two photographs of the suspect, a woman with dark shoulder-length hair. The Red Notice states she has a tattoo on her right arm, possibly depicting a snake, and that she speaks German. The Monaco prosecutor's office confirmed late Thursday that a suspect had been identified but provided no further details.

Victims and Investigation

The child was admitted to Lenval children's hospital in Nice in non-critical condition, while the two adults were taken to Nice University Hospital. By Wednesday, the man was no longer in critical condition, but the woman's condition remained unstable. Yermolaiev has been a resident of Monaco since at least 2021 and has been subject to Ukrainian sanctions since December 2023 over his business activities in annexed Crimea.
