Iran Envoy Thank Pakistan for Top-Level Delegation at Tribute

Iranian Ambassador to Pakistan, Dr Reza Amiri Moghadam, expressed profound gratitude to the government and people of Pakistan for sending what he described as the highest-level and largest foreign delegation to participate in the ceremony held in Iran to pay homage to the martyred Supreme Leader of Iran, Shahid Ayatollah Seyyed Ali Khamenei.

Ambassador's Statement on Social Media

In a post on X, Ambassador Dr Reza Amiri Moghadam said that, on his own behalf and on behalf of the Government and People of the Islamic Republic of Iran, he extended his deepest appreciation to the Government and People of Pakistan for their participation in the solemn ceremony. He described the gesture as a powerful reflection of the enduring friendship and brotherly relations between the two neighboring Muslim countries.

Gratitude to Pakistani Officials

The ambassador conveyed his heartfelt gratitude to Muhammad Shehbaz Sharif, Muhammad Ishaq Dar, Syed Asim Munir, Syed Yousaf Raza Gilani, Sardar Ayaz Sadiq, Mohsin Naqvi, Attaullah Tarar, as well as all other distinguished officials, eminent religious scholars, political leaders and cultural personalities who attended the event and expressed solidarity with the Government and People of Iran.

Historic Delegation Level

Dr Moghadam said he was profoundly honored to announce that Pakistan participated in the ceremony at the highest possible level, making the Pakistani delegation both the most senior and the largest among all participating foreign delegations. He said the presence of such a distinguished and sizeable delegation demonstrated the deep-rooted friendship, mutual respect and fraternal bonds that have long characterized relations between Iran and Pakistan.

Significance of Pakistan's Participation

The Iranian ambassador noted that Pakistan’s participation represented a meaningful and historic gesture, reflecting the strength of the longstanding ties and shared values that have united the two countries throughout their history. He emphasized that Iran and Pakistan have consistently stood by each other during times of both joy and hardship, maintaining a relationship founded on solidarity, brotherhood and mutual support.

Optimism for Bilateral Relations

Expressing optimism for the future of bilateral relations, Dr Moghadam prayed that Allah Almighty would preserve the enduring friendship between the two nations, bless their peoples with lasting peace, prosperity and dignity, and further strengthen the bonds between the Islamic Republic of Iran and the Islamic Republic of Pakistan for generations to come.
