One airstrike killed four Palestinians, including two women and a child, in an apartment building in the Sabra neighborhood of Gaza City, health officials reported. The attack destroyed the apartment and wounded several other people, medics added. The death toll from this single strike accounted for the majority of the day's casualties.
Woman Killed in Beit Lahiya
In a separate incident, Israeli forces shot and killed a woman in Beit Lahiya, a town further north in the Gaza Strip, according to medics. The circumstances of the shooting were not immediately detailed.
Strike in Khan Younis Adds to Toll
Later, an Israeli airstrike killed at least one person and wounded eight others in Khan Younis, in the southern part of the enclave, bringing the day's death toll to at least six. The injured were transported to local hospitals for treatment.
Al Jazeera Cameraman Among Victims
Media outlets affiliated with Hamas reported that three people were killed in two separate strikes in recent hours. In a strike on a house in the Bureij refugee camp in central Gaza, two people were killed, including Ahmed Washah, a cameraman for the Qatari broadcaster Al Jazeera. Additionally, a third person was killed in a strike in Khan Younis, according to the reports.
