Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif arrived in Istanbul, Türkiye on Friday for a two-day official visit at the invitation of Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan. He was received at Atatürk Airport by Turkish Minister for Trade Dr Omer Bolat and other officials from the Turkish Ministry of Foreign Affairs and the Pakistani Embassy.
High-Level Delegation Accompanies PM
Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Ishaq Dar and Minister for Information and Broadcasting Attaullah Tarar are also accompanying the prime minister during the visit.
Focus on Bilateral Cooperation
During the visit, Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif and President Erdogan will hold detailed discussions covering all aspects of Pakistan-Türkiye bilateral relations. The meeting will place particular emphasis on further strengthening cooperation in the fields of trade and investment. The two leaders will also exchange views on issues related to regional peace and security.
Business Conference to Highlight Investment Opportunities
Shehbaz Sharif will also address a business conference hosted by Pakistan. The conference will highlight Pakistan’s trade and investment opportunities in Special Economic Zones, energy, information technology, privatization, and other sectors. The event will be attended by leading Turkish business leaders, investors, and entrepreneurs.
