Saudi, Somali FMs affirm Somalia's sovereignty over entire territory

During a phone call on Monday, Saudi Foreign Minister Prince Faisal bin Farhan and his Somali counterpart Abdisalam Abdi Ali affirmed the sovereignty of Somalia over its entire territory, the Saudi Press Agency reported. The two ministers also rejected anything that compromises Somalia’s security and stability.

Bilateral relations and maritime security

The ministers reviewed Saudi-Somali relations and emphasized the importance of exerting all efforts to ensure the security of international waterways and freedom of navigation within them. This discussion highlights the strategic significance of maritime routes in the region.

Call with French counterpart

Later, Prince Faisal received a phone call from French Foreign Minister Jean-Noel Barrot. They discussed the overall situation in the region and joint efforts to support security and stability, according to the Saudi Press Agency.
