Settler assault leaves seven injured near Yatta
On Friday, Israeli settlers attacked the family of Ibrahim Ismail Al-Jabour in the Hawara area, east of Yatta, south of Hebron, injuring seven people including women and children. The assault involved beatings and pepper spray, according to anti-settlement activist Osama Makhamreh.
The injured included Ibrahim Al-Jabour and six family members: Fatima, Souad, Rawaa, and Rahaf Al-Jabour, as well as two children, Mustafa and Habiba Al-Jabour. All were taken to Yatta Government Hospital for treatment.
Israeli forces detain three after attack
Israeli occupation forces later stormed the area, assaulted local residents, and detained Qassem Ibrahim Al-Jabour, Yasser Yousef Al-Jabour, and Ibrahim Omar Al-Jabour. Local sources confirmed the detentions.
The attack is part of a rise in settler assaults in the Masafer Yatta region, where attacks on people, homes, and agricultural land have been frequently reported in recent years.
Separate raids in Bethlehem governorate
Early Friday, Israeli soldiers detained two Palestinians during raids across the Bethlehem governorate. Palestinian security sources said Sami Dawoud Al-Zeir, head of the Janata Municipality east of Bethlehem, and Adel Dawoud Al-Asakra, 49, from Al-Asakra area, were detained after their homes were raided and searched.
Israeli forces also entered the communities of Beit Falouh, Rafida, Abu Njeim, Al-Ubeidiya, al-Shawawra, Dar Salah, and the Dheisheh refugee camp, but no additional detentions were reported.
