Two Policemen Martyred in Thatta Attack

Two policemen embraced martyrdom when unidentified assailants opened fire on them at a security barrier in Thatta on Saturday. According to police sources, armed men riding a motorcycle opened fire on two policemen posted at Brosser Colony Road near Gharo, killing them on the spot.

Attack Details

The attackers managed to escape after the incident. Upon receiving information about the incident, a police contingent reached the scene. Eyewitnesses said that when an attempt was made to stop the suspects riding a motorcycle, the suspects opened fire directly at the police officers. They said that after killing the officials, the accused also took their weapons with them.

Aftermath and Investigation

The bodies of the two martyred officials were shifted to Rural Health Centre in Gharo. Police said that both officers were recently posted at Gharo police station after being transferred and were on routine duty. A search operation has been launched to apprehend the attackers.
