The announcement followed a detailed visit by Karachi Commissioner Syed Hassan Naqvi and AIG Khan to Numaish Chowrangi, where they reviewed security and administrative arrangements and issued directives to officials on the ground. Senior officers present during the inspection included DIG South Syed Asad Raza, DIG Traffic Pir Muhammad Shah, DIG East Farrukh Ali, SSP East Zubair Nazir Sheikh, SSP City Farrukh Raza, SSP South Mazhar Ali, and Deputy Commissioner South Javed Nabi Khoso.

Uniform Security Plan for Three Days

Speaking to The Express Tribune, AIG Khan stated that a uniform security plan has been devised for all three days of Muharram. “The procession routes will be completely sealed, and rooftop deployment will be ensured along sensitive points,” he said. The deployment includes personnel from police, Rangers, and other security agencies, with special focus on entry and exit points, and monitoring through CCTV cameras and drones.
