Punjab Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz Sharif on Sunday congratulated the people of the United States on the country’s 250th Independence Day, reaffirming Punjab’s commitment to strengthening cooperation with the United States in areas of mutual interest. In her message, the chief minister said the people of Punjab joined in celebrating this historic milestone and noted that Pakistan and the United States shared longstanding relations founded on mutual respect and common interests.
Role of Pakistani Leadership in Regional Conflict
Maryam Nawaz highlighted that Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif and Chief of Army Staff Syed Asim Munir had played an important mediatory role during the recent regional conflict. She added that their efforts had further strengthened Pakistan-US relations. The chief minister emphasized that such diplomatic engagements underscore the deep-rooted partnership between the two nations.

She said Punjab remained committed to expanding bilateral cooperation and partnership with the United States and appreciated America’s role in promoting democratic values. In a related development, the Punjab government has issued an advisory to protect crops during the ongoing monsoon rains, urging farmers to take precautionary measures to safeguard their yields.
