Muzaffargarh DPO Announces Crackdown on Criminals, Muharram Security

Muzaffargarh District Police Officer (DPO) Syed Ghazanfar Ali Shah stated on Wednesday that combating crime will remain the primary focus of policing in the district. He added that a comprehensive security strategy is being developed for all Muharram-ul-Haram programs. According to a police spokesman, DPO Syed Ghazanfar Ali Shah, accompanied by SP Investigation Mahar Nasir Mehmood, chaired a meeting at the Police Office conference room, attended by DSPs, SHOs, and branch heads from across the district.

Aggressive Policy Against Hardcore Criminals

Addressing the meeting, the DPO announced that an aggressive policy would be adopted against hardcore criminals. He also declared a crackdown on habitual offenders and proclaimed offenders. The performance of all police stations in this regard will be closely monitored, he emphasized.

Review of Police Station Cases

During the meeting, the DPO reviewed police station-wise cases, including progress on suspect arrests, elimination of criminal gangs, recovery of stolen property, and its return to rightful owners. Syed Ghazanfar Ali Shah stressed that cases involving children and women are of utmost importance. He added that police response and further action in such cases would be strictly monitored.

Zero Tolerance for Crimes Against Women and Children

The DPO maintained that there would be zero tolerance regarding the arrest of accused persons involved in crimes against women and children. He also announced a crackdown against drug dealers across the district.

Muharram-ul-Haram Security Plan

Speaking about Muharram-ul-Haram arrangements, the DPO said that an advisory had already been issued to police officers and implementation had begun. He added that a coordinated and effective security plan is being finalized for all Muharram gatherings and events.

Tribute to Retiring DSP

During the meeting, DPO Syed Ghazanfar Ali Shah paid tribute to the services of DSP Investigation Muhammad Zafar Dogar, who is set to retire today (June 4). He said a special ceremony would be organized in his honor to give him a dignified farewell.
