DG Passports Launches 24/7 Digital Dashboard for Real-Time Passport Tracking
New Passport Monitoring System Boosts Efficiency & Transparency

In a significant move to revolutionize citizen services, the Directorate General of Passports has launched a state-of-the-art performance monitoring system. This initiative, ordered by Director General Passports Mustafa Jamal Qazi, aims to enhance efficiency, transparency, and service quality across all passport offices in Pakistan and at overseas missions.

A Central Nerve Center for Passport Operations

The cornerstone of this new system is a dedicated, round-the-clock monitoring room established at the department's headquarters. This facility is powered by a fully integrated digital dashboard that provides real-time oversight of all operational activities. Officials can now conduct daily evaluations and track the entire lifecycle of a passport application, from submission to final delivery, both within Pakistan and internationally.

End-to-End Visibility and Proactive Management

The new framework ensures complete digital visibility of every application. Each stage of the process will be monitored, significantly reducing delays and increasing accountability. Furthermore, the system is equipped with intelligent features, such as automatic assessment of crowd density at passport offices. This allows for better management during peak hours, leading to smoother public facilitation and shorter wait times.

Beyond application tracking, the advanced network management framework will closely observe several critical areas:

  • Staff performance evaluation.
  • Monitoring of passport printing processes.
  • Tracking of pending cases to expedite resolutions.
  • Oversight of machinery functionality to prevent technical disruptions.

A Step Towards Citizen-Centric Services

Director General Mustafa Jamal Qazi stated that this modern monitoring mechanism will significantly strengthen departmental performance. He emphasized that the early detection of any issues within the system will enable swift corrective actions, preventing minor problems from escalating into major delays.

Officials have hailed the initiative as a major leap forward. It is designed to transform passport services into a faster, more reliable, and decidedly citizen-friendly experience. This digital overhaul promises to build public trust by making the passport issuance process more transparent and efficient than ever before.
