The Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, represented by Transport General Authority President Fawaz Al-Sahli, took part in the 137th session of the International Maritime Organization Council held in London. During the session, the Saudi delegation engaged in discussions on critical strategic issues, including improving maritime sector efficiency, enhancing maritime safety and security, and fostering international cooperation. On the sidelines, Al-Sahli held several bilateral meetings with government representatives and international organizations to explore cooperation opportunities and exchange expertise.
Al-Sahli highlighted the Kingdom's achievements in developing the maritime sector, aligning with the National Transport and Logistics Strategy and Saudi Vision 2030. The Transport General Authority emphasized that Saudi Arabia's active role within the IMO reflects its commitment to shaping international maritime policies and strengthening collaboration with nations and organizations.
