Commissioner Chairs Key Meeting on Muharram Preparations
DERA GHAZI KHAN - An important meeting regarding arrangements for Muharram-ul-Haram was held under the chairmanship of Commissioner Dera Ghazi Khan Division, Ashfaq Ahmed Chaudhry. The meeting was attended via video link by District Police Officer Mansoor Qamar Mufti, Additional Deputy Commissioner General Malik Muhammad Asad Ali Budh, Assistant Commissioner Kot Addu Farrukh Mehmood, Assistant Commissioner Chowk Sarwar Shaheed Malik Muhammad Iqbal Lang, Chief Officer Municipal Committee Kot Addu Usman Abdullah, DSPs, and heads of various departments.
Detailed Review of Security and Facilities
During the meeting, a detailed review was conducted of security arrangements for majalis and processions, maintenance of law and order, cleanliness, sewerage, lighting, provision of clean drinking water, and other necessary measures during Muharram-ul-Haram. Commissioner Dera Ghazi Khan Division Ashfaq Ahmed Chaudhry directed the concerned departments to ensure that all arrangements are completed in a timely manner and that inter-departmental coordination remains effective to provide maximum facilities to mourners.
He emphasized that all institutions must perform their responsibilities efficiently to promote peace, brotherhood, and religious harmony during Muharram-ul-Haram. Relevant officers also briefed the meeting on the preparedness and arrangements made by their respective departments.
