Financial Assistance for Deceased Education Employees

RAWALPINDI: In a significant welfare initiative for employees of the education sector, the Chief Executive Officer of the District Education Authority (DEA) Rawalpindi has approved financial assistance cases for the legal heirs of 15 teachers and employees who passed away while in service. In this regard, orders have been issued for the disbursement of a total of Rs42.1 million under the government's Financial Assistance Package. The measure is expected to provide substantial financial relief to the bereaved families of the deceased employees.

Leave Encashment Cases Cleared

DEA CEO Muhammad Yaseen Khan Baloch has also approved 163 long-pending leave encashment cases relating to male and female teachers and education department employees. Funds amounting to Rs64.928 million have been sanctioned for the settlement of these claims. This step is aimed at clearing the backlog of pending dues and ensuring that employees receive their rightful benefits in a timely manner.

The approval of these welfare measures reflects the DEA's commitment to supporting the education workforce and their families. The financial assistance and leave encashment disbursements are expected to bring relief to many households and improve the morale of current employees.
