Muzaffargarh Deputy Commissioner Conducts Comprehensive City Inspection
In a proactive move to enhance urban management and public services, Deputy Commissioner Muzaffargarh, Hafiz Usman Tahir Jappa, embarked on a detailed visit across the city. Traffic Management Review and Enforcement Actions
During the inspection, the Deputy Commissioner focused on key locations to assess traffic flow and enforcement measures. He visited critical points such as the railway crossing, bus stand, and Jhang Mor Chowk, where he meticulously reviewed the existing traffic management arrangements. Taking immediate notice of violations, authorities issued challans to drivers of Hiace vans and motorcycles involved in overloading and other infractions.
Under the supervision of Chief Traffic Officer Muhammad Abu Bakar, warnings were also issued against illegal stands and encroachments that disrupt public order. The Deputy Commissioner directed officials to ensure strict and indiscriminate enforcement of traffic laws, emphasizing the need for action against overloading, illegal parking, and vehicles operating without route permits. This directive is part of a concerted effort to provide safer commuting facilities for all citizens, reducing congestion and enhancing road safety.
Wheat Procurement Process Assessment
Later in the visit, Hafiz Usman Tahir Jappa turned his attention to the agricultural sector by visiting Wheat Procurement Centre No. 2. Here, he conducted a thorough review of the procurement process, checking the availability of gunny bags and the facilities being provided to farmers. He instructed concerned officers to ensure complete transparency in procurement operations, fair distribution of gunny bags, and timely payments to farmers.
This focus on efficiency and fairness is designed to ensure that the benefits of government policies are effectively delivered to cultivators, supporting their livelihoods and boosting agricultural productivity. Officials briefed the Deputy Commissioner on ongoing operations, while farmers present at the occasion shared their concerns and suggestions regarding the process, fostering a collaborative approach to addressing challenges.
