Punjab Minister Reviews Suthra Punjab Authority Projects and Cleanliness Initiatives

Punjab Minister for Local Government Zeeshan Rafique recently presided over a comprehensive meeting to evaluate the administrative operations and ongoing initiatives of the Suthra Punjab Authority. The session also focused on reviewing the performance of divisional-level committees tasked with transferring assets to district agencies, aiming to enhance efficiency in local governance.

Emphasis on Cleanliness Awareness and Social Media Outreach

During the meeting, Minister Zeeshan commended the animation film developed for the Suthra Punjab awareness campaign, highlighting its role in engaging children through the "Suthra Hero" character. He described this approach as a strategic and effective step toward fostering cleanliness habits from a young age. To amplify its impact, the minister directed officials to widely disseminate this awareness film series across various social media platforms, ensuring broader public reach and engagement.

Citizen Cooperation and District-Level Performance

Zeeshan Rafique underscored that achieving cleanliness targets is impossible without active citizen participation. He noted that the activities of agencies established at the district level are yielding positive results, reflecting a collaborative effort between authorities and the community. To further strengthen this, the minister instructed Deputy Commissioners and District Managing Directors to implement more effective monitoring mechanisms, ensuring accountability and timely progress.
