Balochistan Governor Highlights Health Sector Progress, Downplays Coalition Rumors
Balochistan Governor Highlights Health Progress in Coalition

Balochistan Governor Sheikh Jafar Khan Mandokhail has stated that while good governance challenges frequently arise in coalition governments, the province has witnessed notable progress across various sectors. Speaking to journalists after the Balochistan Health Leadership Conference at a local hotel on Saturday, the governor emphasized his openness to negotiations, saying, "If problems can be resolved through talks, it is always better."

Health Sector Advancements

The governor highlighted significant improvements in healthcare, particularly through the District Health Information System (DHIS). He noted that the system has helped ensure staff attendance and the activation of health facilities across the province. "We are hopeful of further improvements in healthcare," Mandokhail said, underscoring the government's commitment to enhancing medical services for the people of Balochistan.

Coalition Dynamics and Development Focus

Addressing recent speculation about a meeting in Islamabad between PML-N leadership and Balochistan Chief Minister Sarfraz Bugti along with provincial assembly members, the governor downplayed any concerns. He described internal party matters as private and stressed that coalition governments naturally involve concerns from partner parties, which are eventually resolved through dialogue. "I do not believe the two-and-a-half-year power-sharing agreement holds such great importance. We should focus on the development of the province," he asserted, urging stakeholders to prioritize progress over political maneuvering.
