Islamabad police have apprehended Bilal Hussain for the murder of two women within the jurisdiction of Aabpara police station on June 17. According to police officials, Bilal allegedly killed his ex-wife and mother-in-law over a domestic dispute. Seven special CIA police teams were formed to arrest the culprit. Bilal Hussain was arrested from Khyber-Pakhtunkhwa within 48 hours. Raids were conducted at multiple locations in Islamabad, Punjab, and Khyber-Pakhtunkhwa to capture him. As many as 117 Call Detail Records (CDRs) and data from over 41 Safe City cameras were obtained, aiding the police in arresting the alleged killer. The Islamabad police acknowledged the cooperation of the IG Khyber-Pakhtunkhwa and KP Police in the arrest. Cellular technology, digital surveillance, and human intelligence were utilized to apprehend the culprit.
Shalimar Police Station Incident
In a separate incident, four armed suspects from a dacoit gang fired at a police team within the jurisdiction of Shalimar Police Station. Two of their accomplices, Noorullah and Bakhtiar Ali, were arrested in an injured state due to the suspects' firing. The injured suspects have a previous record of dacoity, robbery, and other serious crimes. The suspects had snatched a purse from a citizen. Upon the citizen's report, a police team conducted a search operation. When the four suspicious individuals on a motorcycle, traveling from Sector E-11 towards D-12, were signaled to stop, the armed suspects opened indiscriminate fire upon seeing the police team. The police team remained safe due to protective measures and bulletproof vests. After the firing ceased, two suspects were found injured in the jungle area due to firing by their accomplices. Suspect Noorullah is an Afghan national with a previous record. From the arrested injured suspects, the snatched purse containing Rs 30,000 in cash, an ID card, and an ATM card was recovered. A motorcycle used in the incidents and two pistols were also recovered from their possession.
