Pakistan People’s Party (PPP) member of the Sindh Assembly, Naeem Ahmed Kharal, passed away in Karachi on Sunday after a protracted illness, family sources confirmed. He was elected from constituency PS-30 Khairpur in the 2024 general election.
Funeral and Burial Details
Family members announced that the funeral prayer was offered at 10 pm on Sunday at Mumtaz Ground in Khairpur city. His burial took place at his ancestral graveyard in Khairpur.
Condolences from Sindh Chief Minister
Sindh Chief Minister Syed Murad Ali Shah expressed deep sorrow over the passing of the PPP leader. “I was deeply saddened to hear the news of Naeem Ahmed Kharal’s passing away,” he said. Shah described Kharal as a sincere, active, and public-service-oriented leader who earned a distinguished place in the hearts of the people through his political and social services. He added that the PPP has lost a sincere colleague and a people-friendly representative, and that the government of Sindh and the PPP will always remember his public and political services.
Speaker of Sindh Assembly Mourns
Speaker of the Provincial Assembly of Sindh, Syed Awais Qadir Shah, also expressed grief over the death. He stated that the assembly and the PPP have lost a sincere colleague, and that Kharal’s political and public services will always be remembered. He prayed to Allah Almighty to grant the departed soul a place in Jannah and give patience and strength to the bereaved family.
