Shariz Ahmad's Explosive Batting
Opening the innings for Bonsai XI, Shariz played a breathtaking unbeaten knock of 52 off just 19 deliveries, smashing seven fours and two sixes at an extraordinary strike rate of 273.68. His explosive innings provided the foundation for Bonsai XI’s imposing total of 170-4.
All-Round Contributions with Ball and in the Field
Shariz then made valuable contributions with the ball, conceding just six runs in two overs while claiming one wicket to help restrict Yousaf XI to 110-9. He also displayed exceptional athleticism in the field, taking four outstanding catches to complete a memorable all-round performance.
Mohammad Yousaf's Unbeaten Half-Century in Vain
Despite an unbeaten half-century from former Pakistan captain Mohammad Yousaf, who finished on 50 not out, Yousaf XI never seriously threatened the target as Bonsai XI dominated throughout the contest.

For his remarkable display with bat, ball and in the field, Shariz received the player of the match trophy and medal from Mohammad Yousaf himself. The former Pakistan batting great was full of praise for Shariz’s talent and bright future, recalling their first meeting during Pakistan’s 2022 ODI tour of the Netherlands, where Yousaf served as Pakistan’s batting coach. Shariz featured in that series and notably dismissed current Pakistan captain Salman Ali Agha.
