Assistant Commissioner (AC) Vehari Inam Akram, along with XEN MEPCO Circle Vehari Ammar Raza Siddiqui and Focal Person Shahzad Khalid, conducted a detailed inspection of Karkhana Bazaar to review arrangements for Muharram-ul-Haram. The visit focused on security measures, cleanliness, removal of encroachments, electricity poles and wires, and other administrative arrangements. Officials and staff from relevant departments were present during the inspection.
Directives for Comprehensive Arrangements
AC Inam Akram directed all concerned departments to ensure comprehensive arrangements for law and order, public convenience, and Muharram processions. He emphasized strict implementation of the Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and code of conduct issued by the Government of Punjab. The assistant commissioner stressed that maintaining peace, religious harmony, and brotherhood during Muharram-ul-Haram is a collective responsibility.
Coordination Among Departments
XEN MEPCO Circle Vehari Ammar Raza Siddiqui briefed officials, stating that all relevant departments are working in close coordination to facilitate mourners and ensure the peaceful conduct of Majalis and processions. The district administration is taking all possible measures to safeguard lives and property of citizens and ensure the best possible arrangements, according to the AC.
