Deputy Commissioner Hussain Ahmed Raza Chaudhry and District Police Officer Suhaib Ashraf conducted late-night visits to Tehsil Bhera and Bhalwal to review ongoing Majalis, security arrangements, cleanliness, lighting, and other facilities at Imambargahs. The officers met with organizers, mourners, and department officials to assess preparations for Muharram-ul-Haram.
Security and Administrative Review
The Deputy Commissioner and DPO closely examined the arrangements at various Imambargahs in Bhalwal and Bhera, focusing on security personnel deployment, entry and exit routes, lighting, cleanliness, and other administrative matters. Organizers and mourners expressed satisfaction with the arrangements made by the district administration, police, and other institutions, thanking the officials for their efforts.
Deputy Commissioner's Remarks
Speaking on the occasion, the Deputy Commissioner stated that the Ashra of Muharram is passing in a peaceful atmosphere due to inter-religious harmony, peace committees, scholars, traders, civil society, and all institutions. He emphasized that the remaining days of Muharram will be completed with unity, brotherhood, tolerance, and caution. He warned that elements seeking to disrupt peace in Pakistan and Punjab are constantly looking for opportunities, urging citizens to remain vigilant and responsible. He assured that the district administration, police, and other institutions are fully mobilized and will not allow any mischievous elements to succeed.
Development Projects Inspection
Later, Deputy Commissioner Hussain Ahmed Raza Chaudhry inspected ongoing sewerage system rehabilitation, drainage, and related development projects under the Punjab Development Program in Bhera. He reviewed the work in progress and received a briefing on the project's progress. Assistant Director Punjab Development Program Hamid Chatha provided a detailed briefing on the current status, progress made, and future stages. The Deputy Commissioner directed that the development projects be completed to a high standard within the stipulated time to ensure the public benefits as soon as possible. Assistant Commissioner Nimra Awais was also present.
