MUZAFFARGARH - In view of the security arrangements for Muharram-ul-Haram, live monitoring of major religious gatherings and processions across the district is being carried out through an extensive CCTV surveillance system, while the District Control Room has been activated round-the-clock to respond to any emergency situation.

Senior Officials Review Security Measures

District Police Officer (DPO) Syed Ghazanfar Ali Shah and Deputy Commissioner Usman Tahir Jappa visited the District Control Room to review the security measures and assess the live monitoring of Muharram processions and congregations being conducted through CCTV cameras. During the visit, the senior officials interacted with representatives of all relevant departments deployed at the control room and reviewed the coordination mechanism established to ensure effective security management during the holy month.

Briefing on Security Challenges

The representatives were briefed on the potential security challenges associated with Muharram-ul-Haram and the seriousness of the prevailing threat environment. Officials emphasized the importance of vigilance, inter-agency coordination, and swift response capabilities to maintain peace and public safety.

DPO's Statement on Preparedness

Speaking on the occasion, DPO Syed Ghazanfar Ali Shah said that the police, in coordination with all concerned departments, remain fully prepared to thwart any malicious designs aimed at disrupting law and order during Muharram. He reaffirmed the commitment of the district administration and law enforcement agencies to ensuring a peaceful observance of Muharram-ul-Haram and safeguarding the lives and property of citizens through comprehensive and proactive security measures.

Meanwhile, the Assistant Commissioner of Vehari also reviewed arrangements for Muharram-ul-Haram in that district, underscoring the province-wide focus on security during the holy month.
