Gold prices in Pakistan drop Rs5,200 per tola, global rates fall $52

Gold prices in Pakistan experienced a significant decline on Thursday, mirroring losses in the international market. According to the All-Pakistan Gems and Jewellers Sarafa Association (APGJSA), the price of gold per tola dropped by Rs5,200 to settle at Rs493,762. Similarly, the price of 10-gram gold decreased by Rs4,458, reaching Rs423,321.

The downward trend followed a previous day's decline of Rs1,200 per tola, which had brought the rate to Rs498,962 on Wednesday. In the global market, gold prices fell by $52 per ounce, with the international rate reaching $4,714 per ounce (including a $20 premium).

Meanwhile, silver prices also witnessed a reduction, declining by Rs225 per tola to settle at Rs8,099.
