The Pakistan Peoples Party's (PPP) parliamentary party in Gilgit-Baltistan convened on Friday to review the outcomes of the recent regional elections and formulate its strategy for forming a new government. The meeting, chaired by PPP Central General Secretary Senator Nayyar Hussain Bukhari, included a detailed assessment of the election results.
Party Performance and Satisfaction
Participants expressed satisfaction with the party's performance, noting that the PPP emerged as the single largest party in the region. They attributed the electoral success to the campaign led by Bilawal Bhutto Zardari and Asifa Bhutto Zardari.
Consultations on Government Formation
The parliamentary party also held consultations on various options for forming the government and deliberated on its future political strategy in Gilgit-Baltistan. Members expressed full confidence in Bilawal Bhutto Zardari and authorized him to make decisions regarding government formation. They affirmed that any decision taken by the party chairman, in the broader interest of the PPP and the people of Gilgit-Baltistan, would be accepted by all members of the parliamentary party.
