Pakistan's security forces have eliminated 17 terrorists associated with the Indian-backed Fitna-al-Hindustan group during intelligence-led operations across Balochistan, the Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR) reported. The military's media wing stated that the operations were conducted in Mastung, Nushki, Zehri, Khuzdar, and Kech districts following a train incident on May 24.
Operations Target Terrorist Hideouts
During the operations, security forces effectively engaged multiple terrorist hideouts, inflicting significant losses on terrorist networks operating in the region. The ISPR confirmed that a large cache of weapons, ammunition, explosives, and prepared improvised explosive devices (IEDs) was recovered from the slain terrorists, who were allegedly involved in numerous terrorist activities in the area.
Sanitisation Operations Underway
Sanitisation operations are continuing to clear the affected areas and eliminate any remaining terrorists. According to the ISPR, the ongoing counter-terrorism campaign under the Azm-e-Istehkam initiative, approved by the Federal Apex Committee under the National Action Plan, will persist at full pace to eradicate foreign-sponsored terrorism from the country.
