KARACHI: An eight-year-old girl was killed and her mother injured in a traffic accident on Super Highway near Gadap City, while a seriously injured pedestrian succumbed to his wounds in Jinnah Hospital after being hit in Ayub Goth.
Accident Details
According to rescue officials, the girl was identified as eight-year-old Ayesha, daughter of Nadeem. Her mother, 28-year-old Nazia, wife of Nadeem, is receiving medical treatment. Officials said the family was on a motorcycle when the woman's shawl got entangled in the bike's chain. The girl fell onto the road and suffered a serious internal head injury that proved fatal, while her mother was injured in the fall.
Rescue and Aftermath
Edhi volunteers shifted the child's body to a private hospital near Super Highway Toll Plaza, after which the family took her home.
In a separate incident, a pedestrian was critically injured after being hit by a vehicle in Ayub Goth. He was rushed to Jinnah Hospital where he later succumbed to his wounds.
